Today, graph database and analytics provider Neo4j® announced that Sudhir Hasbe has joined its senior leadership team as Chief Product Officer (CPO). Hasbe will report to CEO and Co-Founder Emil Eifrem on the company’s native graph database and data science tools.
Hasbe managed Google Cloud’s Data Analytics Platform, which includes industry-leading technologies including BigQuery, Looker, Dataproc, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Composer, Data Fusion, and Dataplex. BigQuery became one of the largest analytics platforms under Hasbe, with tens of thousands of clients, 110TB of data processed per second, hundreds of customers with petabyte-scale datasets, and more than 700 ISV products.

Hasbe oversaw Google Cloud’s Looker, Dataform, Cask, and CompilerWorks acquisitions. Hasbe executive sponsored numerous Google Cloud’s top business clients and ecosystem partners. Hasbe led Zulilly’s software engineering team to data-driven success before joining Google. Hasbe managed Xbox entertainment services, Azure Data Marketplace, SQL Azure, and BizTalk Server at Microsoft for seven years before joining Zulilly.
Hasbe succeeds Philip Rathle, who becomes Chief Technology Officer to assist Neo4j’s vision and technology grow and increase its stakeholder ties. Rathle’s ten years at Neo4j developed the graph category, expanded the company’s offering from a single database product to a comprehensive graph stack with native graph storage, data science, analytics, and visualization, and made Neo4j a top database player. 75% of the Fortune 100 and 250,000 data developers, scientists, and architects from hundreds of Fortune 500 firms, NGOs, and more utilize the company’s products.

Hasbe’s hiring followed Neo4j’s double-digit growth in 2022 and exceeding $100 million in annual recurring revenue (ARR) in 2021. It doubled enterprise cloud and graph data science. The firm was featured in the Gartner® Magic QuadrantTM for Cloud Database Management Systems in December 2022, marking the first time native graph suppliers had been included. Neo4j’s next-generation cloud-ready graph database, Neo4j 5, was released in November, and Alyson Welch was named Chief Revenue Officer in March 2023.
