On Friday, a foot pursuit that ended downtown resulted in the arrest of a wanted individual by police detectives.
Benjamin Miranda, 28, a resident of Chico, was located by Chico PD Detectives near the junction of 3rd Street and Wall Street at around 5:30 p.m.
The sought guy was recognized by the police as being Benjamin Miranda. Miranda is said to have a history of using firearms and was wanted for a parole breach, according to the police.
Miranda, according to the police, raced away from the site when they sought to get in touch with him. Miranda was then pursued on foot as a result of this.
According to the authorities, Miranda evaded capture by making her way through a number of establishments in the downtown area before taking cover on the open patio of one of the companies.
During the time that authorities were looking for Miranda, the police urged the customers of the company to take cover where they were.
Due to Miranda’s propensity of hiding firearms and the fact that he was hiding on the patio, the Chico Police Department utilized an unmanned aerial system (UAS) to find him.
The UAS was utilized by the police to find Miranda on the patio, where he was then given verbal instructions to turn himself in. The police said that Miranda cooperated without incident and was then brought into prison.
