Morton Buildings inaugurates a new facility in Pocatello 2023

Morton Buildings, a post-frame building design and construction company based in Illinois, has established a new manufacturing facility in Pocatello, Idaho. Today, municipal and economic development officials participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the inauguration of the Pocatello Regional Airport Business Park facility.

The 67,428-square-foot facility will ensure that Morton’s regional construction centers in Idaho, Montana, Washington, Wyoming, Colorado, Utah, and neighboring states can continue to efficiently satisfy the region’s current and future building demands.

The facility, which provides manufacturing, cold storage, and administrative space, is one of Morton’s eight manufacturing facilities in the United States. It will produce components for residential, commercial, equestrian, and agricultural structures constructed by Morton.

“We are thrilled about the opening of our new Pocatello facility, which will allow us to continue meeting the building needs of this region, which we have been honored to serve for over a decade,” said Sean Cain, president and CEO of Morton Buildings.

There are presently 30 employees at the Pocatello facility, but that number is expected to increase to meet future growth demands. Cain stated, “As a 100 percent employee-owned company, this new facility supports expanded career development opportunities for the company’s employee owners, and we are thrilled to expand our employee ownership group in the region.”

Morton Buildings celebrates its 120th anniversary this year and is one of the largest ESOP enterprises in the United States. It currently operates more than one hundred construction facilities across the nation using a post-frame construction method that combines superior efficiency, flexibility, and strength.
