Pernod Ricard India, a company that deals in alcoholic beverages, announced on Monday that it has named Jean Touboul as its new managing director, effective immediately. Touboul was acting in his capacity as managing director of the Pernod Ricard South-East Asia business, which had its headquarters in Singapore.
He takes over for his predecessor, Paul-Robert Bouhier, who had been in charge since the first of the year.
Robert had taken over for Thibault Cuny, who had resigned due to health reasons in October 2022 and was succeeded by Robert.
Touboul replaces Paul-Robert Bouhier, who took over January 1.
According to a statement released by the firm, Touboul will continue to report to Philippe Guettat, chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Asia, in his new post. In addition, the company added that Touboul will be a member of the Pernod Ricard Asia Executive Committee.
Before relocating to Asia in 2014 as managing director of Pernod Ricard Taiwan, he held many leadership posts in eastern Europe and at the company’s headquarters. After moving to Asia, he later became chairman and CEO of Pernod Ricard Korea, the company said.
In 2021, he was offered the position of managing director for South-East Asia and accepted the position.
Touboul had been with the Pernod Ricard Group since 2004, when he was hired on as the financial controller and internal auditor of Pernod Ricard Europe.
His predecessor Robert had started working for Pernod Ricard in 1995 and had previously held positions in the company’s offices in France, Ireland, Singapore, and South Africa.
