Bring Your Own Cup Day is back at 7-Eleven, so prepare your cups, buckets, jars, flower vases, and any other receptacle you can think of.
Saturday, April 29, fans of the icy beverage can purchase it for $1.99 at participating 7-Eleven, Speedway, and Stripes locations. According to a press release provided to Food & Wine, customers are also encouraged to be inventive with their cup selection. However, lacks originality.
All customer-brought vessels must conform to the dimensions of the in-store display (10-inch maximum diameter). According to the company, this is to “ensure it fits under the Slurpee drink dispenser”
Slurpees in any container are your due.
However, we can’t help but speculate that this may be due to the fact that in previous years, individuals brought everything from kiddie pools to fish aquariums to fill up.
Ben Boulden, the director of proprietary beverages at 7-Eleven, remarked, “We enjoy seeing customers enjoy our products in creative ways, especially our beloved, iconic Slurpee drink.” The more inventive the cup, from cowboy boot to fishbowl, the better. We are eager to see what our clients create this year.”
Customers can also sample the new limited-time flavor, Fanta Dragon Fruit Zero Sugar, which the brand describes as a delicious “blend of kiwi, pear, and watermelon flavors.”
Other available varieties include the Brisk Blood Orange, which combines Brisk iced tea with a citrus punch, Mango Lemonade, and Pineapple Whip. Naturally, visitors can always opt for Coca-Cola, Cherry, or Blue Raspberry. What about your cup? That’s fine. A tiny cup from 7-Eleven costs one dollar.
Remember to maintain your container watertight, clean, and appropriate (flower vase, yes; 10-gallon water jug, no). Because nothing mars an enjoyable day like a Slurpee stain on a brand-new T-shirt.
